Who would guess that the fastest speeds one can travel on South Bass Island are a little remote control car at Put-in-Bay Raceway!? Yup! You can Zoom Zoom around a specially constructed banked track at more than 50 miles per hour, a speed which would lap those Put-in-Bay Golf Carts if given the change.

A perfect activity for a summers days, race against your friends for only $2 per racer. This is great fun for all ages! Challenge up to four other racers for a heart-throbbing 2 ½ minute race around the oval track. The closet family friendly neighbors of Put-in-Bay Raceway include Kimberly’s Carousel, DeRivera Park, and the Put-in-Bay Candy Bar.
Kimberly’s Carousel is a beautiful vintage carousel, one of the few left in the country! Take a ride on one of the many hand-painted animals including favorite Petey the Perch while listening to the fun carnival themed music.

DeRivera Park is the green space of downtown Put-in-Bay. The charming park located in the center of downtown, families love the picnic tables and BBQ pits located throughout the park. There is also a gazebo and a playground for kids of all ages.

The Put-in-Bay Candy Bar sells everything from old-timey favorites to contemporary confections. They also sell delicious ice creams in lots of amazing and unusual flavors. Grab a cone and sit outside after a thrilling race at the Put-in-Bay Raceway.

Visiting Put-in-Bay

Time spent on South Bass Island is always special. Whether you come for the weekend or the whole summer, you are sure to make memories to last a lifetime.

There are many ways to get to the island. The Jet Express Ferry and Miller Ferry are two popular options. Own a boat? Reserve a dock at one of the many island docks before heading to the island. Put-in-Bay is also home to the two runway Put-in-Bay Airport.
